“Money is usually attracted, not pursued.” — Jim Rohn

I love the notifications I get from my fellow Medium writer’s that display new ways to write and cash out. I’ve done some digging down the bottomless pit that we call “the internet” and have found a few websites that I haven’t seen anyone mention before.

ListVerse — The name says it all. This is a website that focuses primarily on Top 10 Lists. Topics range from memorable movie lines to unforgettable moments captured in fossils. There is no niche or genre you’ll have to mold yourself to when crafting your list. All you have to do is submit your…

They got me good.

I’m hoping you won’t call me naïve; I’ve heard that before. Let’s shamelessly say that these were experiments, and I had no intention of going through with these jobs. As a beginner freelancer, you’d try any gig if it would get you money and more experience. This article will discuss ways to spot a legitimate client from the scamming “clients” with real receipts and advice.

I don’t know how heavily involved Tina Blue is in this scam that took place earlier this year, but she directed me to where there was trouble. Shortly after I received this message, I got…

We are all artists here, let’s get paid for it

If you hate your job, and the only passion you have in life can’t replace your income, then we’re in the same boat. I am a writer with a ton of coding experience, and each skill gets better by day. Both could be very lucrative if services were sold and marketed correctly. Other commonly know freelancing skills include web design, editing, photography, graphic design, etcetera. Your chances of quitting your 9–5 may increase if you have all of these skills, but this article is to show you what to do with one.

There are a lot of applications out there…

“The most valuable of all talents is that of never using two words when one will do.” — Thomas Jefferson

Six Months Ago:

I started medium last week, the end of April 2020. After my first two days of writing, I made $.05! I don’t know about you all, but I didn’t expect to make a penny when I first started medium. Once I found out about the Partner Program, I knew that it would still take a while to see any profit. $.05 is not a full-time income, but I’m technically a professional writer.

A week in, and I’ve made a total of 18 cents, which still amazes me. The platform itself seems meant for us freelancers. Every time…

“Success is liking yourself, liking what you do, and liking how you do it.” –Maya Angelou

There are a ton of different tips out there to become successful. It makes me wonder why there aren’t more “successful” people out there, given all the empty advice we absorb. First, define “success” in your own right because there is no one way or set of ways to become successful because that means different things to different people. Being successful is not a measure of worth or value of one person. My definition of success would be achieving something you thought you never would. …

“The best investment you will ever make is in yourself.” — Grant Cardone

I agree that the best investment you will make is in yourself. I’ve done a ton of research on this topic to provide tips you don’t hear recycled in every “How To” article. I will be combining the best practices that I’ve found to be effective and techniques that are known to be effective.

Mindset- Of all the tips I’m going to share with you all today, this is most crucial. If you don’t have a millionaire mindset, then what are you doing? You have to believe it to achieve it! You have to train your mind to go after…

You’re more influential than you think…

“Words are pale shadows of forgotten names. As names have power, words have power. Words can light fires in the minds of men. Words can wring tears from the hardest hearts.”
Patrick Rothfuss, The Name of the Wind

Strategies you may not have thought of…

Have you ever wondered if you’re the reason that you can get past this paragraph, and if you can… is it even worth reading? Well, that is a twisted fate every writer, at one point or another, has been through. You are not alone, but most people don’t know how to overcome it.

Normally, writing can come so easily to you. You can write a five-page paper within two hours, and still somehow make it appealing. When using your creativity a bit too much, you can over-exhaust yourself. The genius one-liners that came to you before, are now gone. …

Choose your fight wisely…

In my experience, I prefer being traditionally published. Currently, I am a self-published author, and I published my Phycological Thriller with Amazon. Just because my book is self-published, does not make the victory any less meaningful than going the traditional route. When publishing, it’s important to watch for the mistakes I made.

1. Editing your draft — If you are self-publishing, or editing your draft before querying, you cannot edit your draft alone. It is an unspoken rule as a writer to not want to share any of your work until it’s completed. With that being said, editing by chapter…

The books just keep piling up…

I was a chronic reader. It took no more than three days to finish a 450-page novel. Watching television wasn’t even a possibility if I had a book in my hand. I used reading as a way to escape from the world, and to get lost in another. I’ve had the best laughs, and cries while reading. Not to mention all that reading kept me pumping out pages into my manuscript as well. This might have been the most peaceful time in my life. Then, life happened.

It began to be a struggle to reserve a couple of minutes out…
